Regular Board Meetings are held either in person or via internet at 7:00 PM the second Tuesday each month unless otherwise scheduled. Executive Sessions of the Board are held quarterly, prior to the open Board Meeting.

September 8, 2026 Meeting
Board Members in Attendance:Mary Barraza, Nancy Mickle, Denise Routzahn, Jon Hunt, Kelly Froedge, Taylor Arnold, Megan Whitaker

Meeting Minutes:
July 2026 Meeting Minutes were distributed and approved unanimously.
Technical difficulties did not allow minutes to be recorded for the August, 2026 meeting.
Old Business:
~ ARI will provide chili for the pickleball meal on October 17
~ Fishing Tournament is on September 26. Dumpster will cost $100. Discussion on what to do about prizes. Jon and Kelly will advertise at the Festival. Entry fee will be $40. Offering hot dogs.
~ Brochure: Discussed updating. Suggestion for a new one that lists monthly offering plus a QR link to a schedule:
June/Sept: Fishing Tournaments
August: SXS tour
October: Future - Haunted Woods
December-March: Fitness classes and Line Dancing classes
Future Endeavors: Trivia, Karaoke, Bingo nights, Parents' nite out.
Financial Report:
~ Checking Balance: $7,954. First half of cost for Strategic Plan paid. Savings Balance: $32,800.
New Business:
~ Discussed implementing a Code of Conduct for the Board.
~ Decided to leave Vice President position open for now.
~ Reviewed Roles:
President - prepares for and conducts meetings, corresponds with members of community and leads others.
Secretary - record minutes
Treasurer - balance financial report on QuickBooks with help from President. Anita questioned feasibility of using Excel for this once QuickBooks goes out.
Directors -
Anita: PR, communication, marketing. In charge of website and Facebook.
Megan: volunteer, fundraiser, workhorse.
Taylor: fitness/health and wellness activities, Purdue Liaison.
Jon: grants.
Nancy: volunteer/fitness, collaborator.
People to recruit in the future: lawyer, business person - look to retirees.
~ New Director: Anita presented to be a member. She is semi-retired and has been Executive Director and also served on Boards for nonprofits in the past. She still operates al management and website design company part-time and has PR experience. [Board approved addition of Anita.]
Miscellaneous
~ Board voted to allow the Pickleball group to use the picnic tables at the park with stipulation that they are returned to pool building at the end of summer and waivers are signed to move out of the building.
~ Cleaning in the pool area cannot be done based on insurance policy coverage.
~ Insurance broker rates will be addressed in Jan/Feb 27.
